美國眾議長佩洛西：港府DQ黃之鋒進一步破壞「一國兩制」】

香港眾志秘書長黃之鋒被取消區議員參選資格引爆輿論，美國多位議員發聲。眾議長佩洛西（Nancy Pelosi ）批港府刻意DQ黃之鋒，做法進一步破壞香港法治及「一國兩制」。

她強調，香港人應該有權去選擇自己的代議士。

華府智庫「自由之家」（F​​reedom House）也就黃之鋒DQ一事發出聲明，批評政府因為民主自決而作出DQ決定，是對香港民主進程又一打擊。

自由之家批評，DQ一事證明北京日益幹預香港事務，打擊外界對香港法治的信心，不但無助處理抗爭者的不滿，徒令社會更加兩極化，加速香港民主衰落。
