疑再现人质外交事件 英駐港領館官員深圳失踪

香港01週二（8月20日）報導，英國駐香港領事館貿易和投資官員Simon Cheng於8月8日參與了一場在深圳舉行的商業活動。他原計劃當天返回香港，後來在邊境向女友表達了擔憂，其後失聯。

事件正處在北京與倫敦就香港抗議發生爭執之際，這起香港領事館工作人員到大陸旅行期間被拘事件令人非常擔心。可能加強北京和倫敦之間的緊張關係。

英國外交和聯邦事務部表示，正在向Simon Cheng的家人提供支持，並向香港和廣東省當局尋求進一步的信息。
